Endocrine (Hypo/hyper T4/PTH, Cushing’s, acromegaly); Infection (HIV), Drugs (Amiodarone, corticosteroids, cocaine), Muscular dystrophies (becker’s), NMJ (MG, Lambert Eton); Rheum (polymyalgia rheumatica, polymyositis, dermatomyositis SLE, RA)
Peripheral neuropathy DDx:
Motor loss: GBS, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), porphyria, lead poisoning, hereditary sensorimotor neuropathies (CMT) Infection: dipthera; Sensory loss: DM, Alcohol(sensory first), B12 deficiency (affect joint position + vibration), Amyloidosis, uraemia(CKD), leprosy
