Network of cells that that allow us to respond to rapid changes in the environment

A
A fundamental subunit of the nervous system. (an individual cell)

What is the function of the stimulas responce pathway?
A
detects environmental change
decides how to respond to changes
stimulates our tissues to respond

What is a nerve?
A
A bundle of neurons. (neurons are bundled when traveling to the same part of the body)

What is an inpulse?
A
impulse is the form of information transmitted by neurons. (a form of electrical signal)

What are the two main subsections of the nervous system?
A
Central nervous system, Brain and Spinal cord
Peripheral nervous system, outside the brain and spinal cord
