NEO Flashcards
Starter limitations differences
Start attempts 3 instead of 4
Pause between attempts 60s instead of 20s
Oil differences?
Min increased to 10.6qt + .45/hr
(CEO 9.5qt + .5/hr)
Min start temperature increased from -40°C to -29°C
Min take off temperature increased from -10°C to 10°C
Differences: EGT N1 N2 VIB
-Higher EGT limits in all cases -
NEO has slightly different values for colour bands and red limits on most of the engine indications
– operation is identical.
- Introduction of a Ground Air Starting EGT Limit (875°C).
- A reduction in N1 Max from 104% to 101%
- An increase in N2 Max from 105% to 116.5%.
- The NEO has three possible vibration indications, Green, Pulsing Green and Amber (the CEO only
indicates Green or Pulsing Green).
New stable idle parameters on ground
N1 - 20
500
N2 - 70
300
Icing differences
- Engine run-up is now only required (NEO) if icing conditions exceed 60mins (30mins CEO).
- After 60 minutes the engines should be increased to 70% for at least 5 seconds.
- When operating in ground fog icing conditions, an engineering inspection should be performed
on the engine if take-off not performed with 120mins.
