What are the types of barrier to accessing care?

A
  • physical - can’t get into a building
  • psychological - embarrassment and anxiety
  • financial - can’t afford to pay for a service the NHS can’t provide
  • geographical - difficulty getting there
  • culture and language - culture can make it hard to accept a service, language barrier means ineffective communication
  • resource - need to wait for the service, not enough resources for staff
