what is a trocar needle?
A
- sharp-pointed needle containing a canulla
- used to puncture the wall of a body cavity and withdraw fluid or introduce an endoscope

A
- used to draw blood or administer medications through the venous system
- aka winged infusion set and scalp vein set
- needle is attached to tubing that contiain luer lock
- allow syringe to be twisted on

- used for lumbar puncure of spinal anethesia or diagnostic puncture of spinal canal
- contains a quinche tip with double bevel
- smooth needle surfase that guides for percise application, flexibility, and atraumatic puncture
contains mandrel grip that is colour-coded according to size of needle

A
- biopsy needle that permits repeated tissue saples through an outer, larger needle that remains in place

- 2-part hollow needle with a beveled tip angles at 30 degrees
- contains inner stylet that is removable
- allows for superior steering

- used for aspiration
