Warm Up
Bancroft Sequence
May have client’s knees up to create slackening effect
Tendon Work
- L stroke in lamina groove from C7 to base and all along occipital bone to mastoid process
- Gentle effleurage or lifting of SCM
- Superior to clavicle (especially at sternoclvicular joint) and just inferior to clavicle (scalenes)
O & I
SCM
Pin & Shorten
Gentle thumb compression on lateral neck posterior to SCM and inferior to occiput.
Laterally rotate/flex head to same side as applying pressure.
Broad Stroke
Use thumb or two knuckles to drag anterior to posterior on lateral neck.
May be done while rotating head away
Apply knuckle to upper trap working from superior to posterior
Drain
Modified forearm stroke of draining paintbrush from occipital ridge down to lateral portion of upper trap
Fascia Lines
Work along lateral neck and upper trap

Warm Up
- Along sternum and intercostal spaces
- Inferior to clavicle
- Bicipital groove

- Sternum and intercostal spaces
- Inferior Clavicle
- Apply pressure at bicipital groove while holding clients wrist with other hand and gently rotate arm medially and laterally

Apply just off of sternum and anterior deltoid
Can be worked with clients arm up in ABduction/flexion.
Can be worked through draping for client comfort

Pin & Shorten
Support flexed forearm at elbow or wrist/hand while other hand tacks muscle.
Slowly tack muscle while beginning ADduction. Maintain pressure of tacked muscle while further ADducting arm at shoulder.
