What is Zoroastrianism?
Zoroastrianism is based upon the teachings of the prophet Zoroaster. The religion is monotheistic meaning there is only one God or creator, and that humans are the pawns in the battle between the forces of good and evil.
How did the Hyksos affect Egypt?
The Hyksos “migrated,” into Egypt’s delta region and gradually settled there during the 18th century B.C.E
How did the Persian Empire differ from earlier eastern empires (such as the Assyrian Empire) in how it ruled?
The Persian was more of a peaceful empire who enforced mercy, wisdom and compassion towards others, as evident from Cyrus the Great.
The Assyrian Empire was well organized and had a well established army. They were known for their brutality and use of fear tactics.
Who was Cyrus the Great? And why was he so great?
Cyrus was a Persian ruler who created a powerful Persian state that stretched from Asia Minor to India, which he ruled from 559 B.C. To 530 B.C. Cyrus differed from Assyrian rulers of his time because he enforced wisdom, restraint and Mercy.
