How is coverage measured during an NDB commissioning?
Fly at the minimum useable distance at an altitude of 1500 above site elevation or an altitude 1000feet above highest obstacle, 2000 feet in mountainous terrain.
What are the maximum bearing deviations for an NDB?
20 degrees (+/- 10) for enroute and 10 degrees (+/-5) for approach. OT needle activity is allowed provided it doesn’t exceed 4 second on an approach flown at 130kts or 8 seconds enroute.
