Economic problems were solved enabling Hitler to rearm but he wanted to do so quicker

Prepares for total war by :
Increasing raw material production
Persuading big businesses to produce synthetic materials
Further import reduction with tighten on wages and prices
Using forced labour and building industrial plants
Why did Hitler abandon the four year plan
It was slow
Goring told Hitler he should not rearm but Hitler wanted to create total war

Raw materials produced without consumer goods, huge food shortages (butter rationing) Total war would provide food/raw materials needed
Food shortages caused slight opposition
Working hours increased but pay did not
