On Reporting page, Left hand menu
What are dashboards vs shortcuts?
Dashboards - Display information from our most important reports
Shortcuts - link to specific reports
What does the graduation hat do?
Will provide links to videos and article on using analytics
What is the explorer tab?
Usually a graph of the dimension plus a table
Once I configure a date will I need to change that for each report?
No, the date will stick for that session
Where is the date range located?
Top right hand corner
What’s a quick way to select an entire month
Once in the date range field click the name of a month to select all the days
How can you enter dates
Use calendar widget
Type in date format either month name day, year or month/day/year
Tip: You can compare two date ranges
Tick the compare to box in the date picker
What are annotations?
Notes about changes to your set up. Helps with explaining what’s changed.
To add an annotation, from a timeline click on the triangle below the date. Then click new annotation.
What’s the difference between a motion graph and a line graph
A line graph plots points on an x and y axis
A motion graph plots points on a y axis and you then have a slider to move through the different days
What is the data table?
Below the data graph is the data table
Depends on metric and report selected
Tip: It’s possible to add a secondary dimension (data type) to a data table
Google will recommend types to use but you can pick your own
