Pronation distortion Syndrome
A postural syndrome characterized by foot pronation, flat feet and adducted inertly rotated knees
Lower Crossed Syndrome
A postural distortion syndrome characterized by an anterior tilt to the pelvic (arched lower back)
Upper Crossed Syndrome
A postural distortion syndrome characterized by a forward head and rounded shoulders.
Five Kinetic Chain Points
Foot ankle, knee, limbo pelvic hip complex, head and cervical spine
Davies Test
Measure upper body agility and stabilization. Push up position with hands 36 inches apart and perform alternating touches for 15 seconds.
Shark Skill Test
designed to asses lower body agility.
add .10 seconds for each of the following faults
- non hopping leg touches the ground
- hands come off hips
- foot goes in wrong square
- foot does not return to center square
Rock Port Cardio Test
Designed to assess a clients starting point. Next, have the client walk a mile as fast as he or she can control, on a treadmill to complete the walk. Immediately record the client’s heart rates at the 1 mile mark. Use the following formula to determine oxygen consumption.
