Intentional/final clauses are clauses that show
the goal or purpose of the action in the higher sentence. They show that the action of the higher sentence exists because of the realisation of meaning of the dependent clause.
Da bi stigao na vreme, uzeo je teksi.
They are constructed using the connectors:
da (with present and conditional)
kako (with conditional)
li (with negative conditional).
These sentences are modal, they do not refer to real action.

Petar ide da kupi cipele. - Intentional/final clause
(Petar goes to buy shoes.)
Compare this to:
Petar hoće da kupi cipele. - Explicit clause
(Petar wants to buy shoes.)

Examples:
