Deashi Harai

A

Drive uke back with one foot advancing. With the exposed uke foot, sweep with the bottom of the foot across uke’s foot and let the momentum swing your foot and theirs up, taking their balance.

Sasae Ashi

A

Start in a right handed kumikata. Draw uke towards you, forcing them to take a step with their right foot. Step off the line, pivoting counter-clockwise. Trap uke’s right foot, as you pull them towards where your body was to achieve kazushi and make them take a fall.

Okuri Harai

A

Start a half step behind uke, shift them to the side (you are facing each other) and lift their balance upward. Then as they are moving upward, sweep their legs with your leg (the one that is following, not leading your body)

Soto Gama

A

Drive uke back with one foot advancing. Take uke’s balance by sweeping their exposed leg. Use the bridge of the foot to hook their ankle and swing it upward.

A

Advance forward. Kazushi uke as you move close to them. Your inside leg grabs uke’s leg and pulls it towards you as you pull their upper body down (kazushi the left elbow if the right leg is grabbing uke.

Soto Momo Harai

A

Start from a right handed kumikata. Place your right elbow into uke’s left armpit and turn in 180 degrees so that your feet match uke’s but keep your right foot outside of uke’s feet.. Bring uke up onto your hip and then teapot forward, balancing on your left leg. Sweep uke over your hip by straightening your right leg and then kicking upward.

Uchi Momo Harai

A

Start from a right handed kumikata. Hold onto uke’s gi while you place your right elbow into uke’s right armpit. Make your feet match uke’s feet, but keep your right foot on the inside of uke’s right foot. Bring uke’ up onto your hip and teapot, bending forward and kicking upward.

Ogoshi

A

Start from kumikata. Step in with your feet fitting around 180 degrees. Wrap right arm around uke’s waist. Roll them over your hip for the throw.

Utsuri Goshi

A

Fit in for Ogoshi. Uke counters by jumping over your hip. Fit in again, with uke countering again. Fit in again and kick leg out in front of uke like Soto Momo Harai.

A

Arm throw. The hand that grabs the sleeve at the wrist pulls as the other arm fits in under the armpit and holds tight. Feet step 180 degrees to match uke’s feet. Then lift uke over back and drop them in front of you.

A

Start from kumikata. Uke fits in for Ogoshi. Place left hand on uke’s outer hip and push. Simultaneously push down with right hand still holding uke’s collar.

Seoi Goshi

A

Gym bag throw. The hand holding the gi at the shoulder moves the elbow into uke’s opposite arm pit. Sleeve hand twists across the body. Legs stay low and planted after 180 degree turn. Then lift uke over back and drop them in front of you.

Tsurikomi Goshi

A

Outside sleeve hand has the elbow drop outside of uke’s arm, the inside hand extends uke’s arm out towards your front. Move uke across your side and throw. Feet fit 180 degrees.

A

Start from a right handed kumikata. Fit in 90 degrees so that your hip bone meets uke’s obi. Lift them slightly and use your right foot to circle around their feet, tripping them and making them fall.

A

Start from a right handed kumikata. Fit in 90 degress so that your hip bone meets uke’s obi. Lift them slightly and bend your right leg so that you create more contact with uke’s legs. Lift your right leg and teapot so that they fall down the line.

Uki Otoshi

A

Start in a right handed kumikata. Swing your left leg around 180 degrees and drop so that your left knee is on the ground and your right knee is up. Bring uke with you as you drop to achieve kazushi and make them fall.

Makikomi

A

Start from a right handed kumikata. Place your right foot outside of uke’s right foot. As you place your right foot, bring your right arm up and over uke’s right arm, and wrap their arm around yours. Your left foot then steps back closer to uke’s feet. Pivot and drop your right knee to the grounch. This brings uke over your right side, because of the trapped arm. Once they are on the ground, place your right thigh along their right shoulder and bar their arm across your hips.

Kani Sute

A

Start from the side of uke. Grab their collar and lift/kick inside leg in front of uke’s stomach. Jump and fit other leg in behind uke’s legs and scissor them to take their balance. Kick them away for escape.

Tomoe Nage

A

Place foot sideways on uke’s belt. Slip the other leg between uke’s legs as you slide to the ground. Draw uke’s balance out past your head with minor guidance from the foot placed on the obi.

Yama Arashi

A

Uke attacks with a right handed round punch. Block with both your forearms, with your left arm striking their bicep and your right arm striking their right collarbone. Your right hand grabs their gi while you lift your elbow to lift/strike their jaw and achieve kazushi. Sweep their right leg with your right leg and take them to the ground. Once they are on the ground, apply armbar across your hips.
