NAFC Was created…

A

NAFC was born out of a training system happening at a gym. It was a one on one training system. It was being lead by someone in another training company, who passed away. This person’s family asked Mike Leboss (our executive director) to continue the program. He declined because he wanted to do it based in kinesiology and dynamic movement working along leaders in the field.

Levers

A

In the fitness industry we primarily use third class levers. Weight is on one end, fulcrum on the other. Talk about the appendicular skeleton being made up of levers that get heavier as they are farther away from the body. Also talk about the anatomy course that NAFC has and how it includes the app with a lot of tools to learn and understand the movement and muscles.

Karvonen formula

A

Target Heart Rate = ((max HR − resting HR) × %Intensity) + resting HR example: lisa is 25 yrs old
Max HR= 220 - 25 = 195
Rhr was determined to be 65
(195-65)x.60+65=143
For lisa to work at 60% or her aerobic capacity, her heart rate should be 143 Bpm.
