- An autoimmune disease that results in extreme fatigue and muscle weakness

- Difficulty talking and chewing
- Weak eye muscles
- Visual disturbances- Unsteady gait
- SYMPTOMS WORSEN WITH ACTIVITY

- Tensilon (Edrophonium) Test

- If the client’s strength increases temporarily then the test is positive

What meds are prescribed?
A
- Anticholinesterase and Plasmapheresis

A
- Take meds 30mins prior to meals
- Cough & deep breathe
- Exercise- Conserve energy by doing multiple short tasks
- Try to decrease stress
- Conserve energy by doing multiple short tasks
