What does the Muted Group Theory state?
A
Language is a manmade construction. There are people who must change their language in order to fit society. This muted group are people who belong to low-power groups who’s ideas are often overlooked.

Women perceive the world differently because of women and mens different experiences and activities rooted in the division of labor.

What is a gatekeeper?
A
Editors and other attributers who determine which books, movies, etc. will appear in the mass media. Mainstream mass media as male stream expression.

A
Bias encoded in social media and search engines that favor dominant groups and oppresses marginalized groups.
