What is the feminist standpoint theory?
Peoples perception of communication is different based on individual perspectives. They view women as a marginalized group.
What is intersectionality?
All aspects of a persons identity are intertwined, mutually constituting each other. Multiple roads crisscrossing each other. (gender, race, sexuality, age, etc)
What are ways that black women collectively validate what they know?
- Lived experience as a criterion of meaning
- The use of dialogue in assessing knowledge claims
- The ethic of caring
- The ethic of personal accountability
What is strong objectivity?
The strategy of starting research from the lives of women and other marginalized groups, which upon critical reflection and resistance provides a less false review of reality.
