What does the Qur’an teach?

A

Human beings are the servants of Allah
this is a great responsibility so they need guidance to carry out their duties
Islam teaches that humans are unable to guide themselves because they have many weaknesses and are frail and short-sighted.
Allah is above all things and he alone has the power to give guidance that is valid for all times and places.
He has sent prophets and messengers to show humanity the right path in life he also gave holy books for guidance.
Muslims believe Allah has inspired all the books which are mentioned in the Qur’an
Some of the books include: Tawra of Musa, Zabur of Dawud, injil of ‘Isa.
It also mentions the scrolls of Abraham and Moses
All the divine books only from the Qur’an exists in its original, unchanged from. The Zabur, Tawrah an Injil were gradually altered after being revealed, therefore they mixed with the divine words of human beings
All the writings make up one divine revelation, the Qur’an is the most important for guiding human actions.
Through the holy writings Allah has shown human beings something of his nature and told them about the way he expects them to live their lives.

What is the importance of the Hadiths?

A

They are a collection of words and teachings of the prophet Muhammad
Used by Muslims as a means of guidance and encouragement
If a Muslim is faced with a difficult decision or dilemma he can seek the help of Allah though the advice of prophet Muhammad.
