A
- It marks the end of hajj
- It recalls this faith in Allah displayed by the prophet Ibraham when commanded to sacrifice his son
- Cards and gifts are relieved
- Muslims must sacrifice and animal to Allah, this is to recall the sacrifice of the ram Allah provided for Ibraham so he wouldn’t have to kill his son
- Muslims may sacrifice - sheep, goats, cows or camels
- Muslim families enjoy meat from their sacrificed share the remaining meat with poor or with relatives
