UCL can become stretched, frayed, or torn caused by stress from repetitive overhead throwing
What is a stress fracture?
A fracture of a bone caused by repeated mechanical stress
What is Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome?
Pain in the lower medial part of the shin (SHIN SPLINTS)
What is whiplash?
Injury that happens to the neck following a sudden acceleration-deceleration force. Damages discs, muscles, and ligaments in the neck
What is Auricular Hematoma?
Cauliflower Ear
Shearing forces to the anterior auricle can cause the cartilage to separate
What is a head laceration

What is Thoracic Outlet Syndrome?
When nerves, blood vessels, and muscles can become compressed, squeezed, injured, or irritated because of a variety of causes
What is a Mandibular Fracture?
When the jaw is broken
What is a Herniated Disk?
When the nucleus pulposus breaks through the annulus fibrosis and comes into contact with the nerve
What is STAPH?
A bacteria that is harmless on the skin but potentially fatal when enters a wound. Causes skin infections like boils, pimples, and rashes.
What is an Achilles Tendon Rupture?
A tearing of the achilles tendon on the back of the foot
What is a Grade II MCL tear?
A tearing of the ligament that runs on the medial side of the knee. MCL prevents the knee from extending too far inward.
What is a Subdural Hematoma? What is a Epidural Hematoma?
Solid swelling of dotted blood within the tissues between dura mater and arachnoid
Epidural happens outside of the dura mater and inside the skull
What is Golfer’s Elbow?
Injury to the Medial Epicondyle
Caused by repeated or blunt force on the wrist flexor tendon
What is carpal tunnel syndrome?
When the tendons, synovial sheath, and especially the median nerve becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist at the carpel tunnel.
What is an Orbital Hematoma?
A collection of blood outside of a blood vessel on the eye. Black Eye
What is a shoulder dislocation?
When the head of the humerous is forcibly removed from the glenoid socket (commonly an anterior dislocation)
What is an ACL tear?
Overstretching or tearing the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in the knee
What is Patellofemoral Stress Syndrome?
Dull pain around the front of the knee due to the patella being out of place. This can be caused by weak supporting muscles.
What is Plantar Fasciitis?
Inflammation of the thick tissue of the bottom of the foot
