Osteokinemtaic: Flexion

  • Arthrokinematics of the Hip Joint during flexion in an OPEN KINETIC CHAIN:
  • In the open kinetic chain the convex head of the femur will roll ANTERIOR and glide POSTERIOR on the concave acetabulum.
  • Arthrokinematics of the Hip Joint during flexion in a CLOSED KINETIC CHAIN:
  • In the closed kinetic chain the concave acetabulum will roll and glide ANTERIORLY on the fixed convex head of the femur.
