Genetic in origin

Defects in the long ones
• tibiotarsus / tarsometatarsus
• 0.5% to 2% of the flock
• shows at ±3 weeks old

Severity may be influenced by management and nutrition

Control: There is no remedy, management of the flooring/litter may help
