Each muscle fiber is externally surrounded by sarcolemma and their sarcoplasm contains nucleus and thread like proteinaceous myofibrils.

If myofibrils show light and dark band hence its striped

In the presence of stimulus , muscle fiber contract (short) and relax (long) rhythmically with the help in movement and locomotion to adjust the organism.

If movement of muscle is in control of will power(conscious effort) then its called voluntary muscle.
