CARDIAC \ STRIPED \ INVOLUNTARY MUSCLE Flashcards
What is the location of this muscle ?
Present in the myocardium of the heart.
What is the nature of it’s muscle fiber ?
They are cylindrical , branched , uninucleate and never undergo fatigue{longest refractory period}
Note :- Muscle fiber are interconnected by communication junction \ gap junction \ intercalated disc which act as booster to transmit the wave of contraction from one fiber to the next.
What is the muscle toner ?
They sustain the partial contraction of muscle
In skeletal muscle the nuclei are peripheral .
LEARN THE ULTRA STRUCTURE OF THE SKELETAL MUSCLE FROM THE NOTES.
OKAY :D
What is the sliding filament theory ?
During the muscle contraction thin filament (actin) slide over the thick filament (myosin) towards the H zone (reduces) hence the length of the sarcomere reduces called contraction.
What is sarcomere ?
Area between two Z line is called sarcomere.(contractile unit of muscle fiber)
