What is the iliopsoas complex and what muscles are included?
Made of two muscles that share the same tendon for insertion.
Muscles include:
iliacus muscle
psoas major
What is the quadriceps femoris group and what muscles are included in it?
Group of four muscles that share the same tendon for insertion. Muscles include: Rectus femoris Vastus lateralis Vastus intermedius Vastus medialis
What muscles are included in the hamstring?
Biceps femoris
Semitendinosus
Semimembranosu
What is the patellar tendon/ligament?
They are technically the same structure; specifically, the patellar tendon extends from the quadriceps femoris group to the patella while the patellar ligament extends from the patella to the tibial tuberosity.
What does the patellar tendon extend from and to?
Extends from the quadriceps femoris group to the patella
What does the patellar ligament extend from and to?
Extends from the patella to the tibial tuberosity
