Design Basis

When opening, the ICW inlet opens for 20 sec, then the LD valve opens
When closing, the LD valve closes for 8 sec, then the ICW valve closes

Explain Gross/iodine ratio
Gross goes up = ratio gets bigger = crud burst
iodine goes up = ratio goes down = fuel failure

Discuss MUP ES actuation.
- ES 1 and 2
- MOD aligned to OP pump bus (a-3/4), Opposite train brkr open
- A & C pumps start after 5 second delay (EDG loading)
- B pump starts after 7 second delay IF A-3/4 MOD is closed, ‘A’/’C’ HPI not running, A-3/4 energized with normal volts
- HPI iso vavles open
- Recirc valves 1300 & 1301 close (min 55 gpm recirc on pump)
What does MUP suction relief valve lift @ and where to?
450 psig to the ABEDT
MUP electric oil pump auto starts when pump gets an ES signal and turns off __ seconds later
