Vaccination:
• Vaccine (MMR) for at 12 months of age
• A second dose as MMRV at 18 months of age

Treatment:
• Keep child home for 9 days after onset of swelling
• No specific treatment
• Symptomatic care
• Warm or cold packs to swollen glands may provide relief
