1
Q

CS:

  • host-adapted (hardjo-bovis)
  • signs assoc’d with affected organs from bacteremia, abortion, and EED
  • non host-adapted
  • Repro, hemolytic anemia (calves!), abnormal milk

Tx:
Long acting tetracycline
Supportive care

A
  • mastitis
  • resp dz/pneumonia

Q

BTV - CS and spp affected?

A

Vasculitis syndrome

  • widespread epithelial necrosis
  • endothelial damage (edema)
  • High Fever, wool break, crusted muzzle, salivation, congenital defects, cyanosis of tongue (rare)

Sheep get CS

Cattle and goats rarely get CS
