Progression

A

Different types of progression:

Most people get relapsing-remitting PD, this is symptoms between period of remission.
The develop secondary progessive where there’s no remission, just worserning symptoms.

Primary progessive MS- 10% unlucky, progression of symproms from the start.

Cause

A

Multiple Sclerosis is a complex autoimmune disease.
It’s characterized by repeated inflammation of nervous tissues in the brain and spinal cord, causing the loss of myelin sheath.
Loss of myelin sheath slows or blocks the transmission of signals to and from the brain which impairs movement and sesnation.

A

Everyone ids different but symptoms can include:

  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Dizziness
  • Bladder and bowel problems
  • Dysarthria
  • Dysphagia
  • Pseudobulbar affect
  • Weakness

A

Mixed Dysarthria.

Mixed spastic-ataxic is most common.
