MSK Flashcards
What is the nerve supply of pectoralis major and minor?
medial and lateral pectoral nerves
What does the radial nerve supply?
extensor muscles of arm and forearm
What 3 muscles are in the anterior/ flexor compartment of the arm?
biceps brachii, brachialis, coracobrachialis (BBC)
What nerve innervates of the anterior/ flexor compartment of the arm?
musculocutaneous nerve
What is the only muscle in the posterior compartment of the arm?
triceps brachii
How many heads does the triceps brachii have and where do they originate/ insert?
3 heads
-long head originates from infraglenoid tubercle
- lateral head originates from humerus
- medial head originates from humerus
3 heads converge to form muscle which inserts into olecranon of ulna

into the linea alba via its aponeurosis
What are the roots of the brachial plexus?
brachial plexus is formed by the anterior rami of C5-T1
What nerves are the roots of the lumbar plexus?
