Wind cold damp invasion in neck pain
- Acute neck, shoulder and back pain
- Stiff neck
- Limited range of motion
- May have pain on palpation or tender to touch
- Heaviness and numbness of the arms
LV Qi stagnation in neck pain
- Chronic condition with pain and stiffness often with the shoulder
- Muscle tension and headaches
- Acute exacerbations from emotional events
KD Deficiency in neck pain
- Chronic condition that worse with exhaustion
- Weakness in the low back
- Dizziness
- Kidney deficiency symptoms as well
- Urination, erectile dysfunction, libido changes, etc…

What are the causes for shoulder pain?

Cold and Damp in Lumber pain
• Lumbar pain that is worse with cold and damp exposure
• Aggravated and cloudy and rainy days
• Pain not relieved by rest and limited movement
• Heavy sensation with stiffness
• Radiation of pain to the buttocks and lower limb
Tongue: White, sticky coat
Pulse: Deep, slow or wiry if pain is strong
Qi and Blood Stagnation
• Hx of injury to the lumbar region
• Lumbar pain resembling a pin prick or stabbing pain
• Worse at night and better in the day
• Aggravated by pressure and rotation of the back
Tongue: Dark red or purple
Pulse: Choppy
KD Deficiency
• Chronic lumbar pain that may be accompanied by knee or leg weakness
• Pain alleviated by rest and aggravated by over exertion
• Cold, cramping sensation and cold limbs
• SOB
• Tiredness
• Dizziness
• Frequent urination
• May have irritability, poor sleep, dry mouth and throat, flushed face, 5 center heat sensation
Tongue: Red with little or no coat
Pulse: Thin and rapid
