• Alternating chills and fever • Fullness and pain of the costal and hypochondriac regions • Poor appetite • Bitter taste in the mouth • Irritability • Dry throat and nausea Pulse - rapid and wiry Tongue - possibly one-sided tongue coat

Tongue - Red with little or no coat
ST Yin deficiency
dry mouth, no appetite, fatigue, dry stool, malar flush, thirst with little desire to drink

KD Yin deficiency
sore low back, fatigue, apathy (no will power), weakness in legs and knees, dizziness,
tinnitus, deafness, chronic sore throat, disturbed sleep
