Define motor planning
Cognitive processes strongly linked to perception, involve interpretation of sensory info to plan an action, impacted by intention
Cratty’s arm position sequencing
Need to give them cues in order
– 7 positions, first visually demonstrate. Then get them to copy sequences of 3, slowly build up
- Visual motor = copy you without naming positions
o Important for learning dances, copying things from board
- Auditory = name but don’t show
o Important for instructions from teacher etc

- visual motor= get them to copy your number sequence, without naming number
- Auditory= verbally say which number
