Precautions to ROM Techniques

A
  • Infection or inflammatory process is present
  • Analgesic medication clouding perception or communication
  • Osteoporosis or any bone fragility
  • Hypermobile joints
  • Joints prone to subluxation
  • Painful conditions – don’t make it worse!
  • Hemophilia
  • Hematoma
  • Bony ankylosis
  • Immediately after injury with disruption of soft tissue
  • Myositis ossificans
