A

fibrinogen leaks out of vessels with large increases of permeability - fibrin deposited into extracellular space

occurs in meninges, pericardium, pleura

A

pus - purulent exudate with neutrophils, debris of necrotic cells, and fluid.

often caused by infection with pyrogenic (pus-producing) bacteria

ex: abscesses, acute appendicitis
