Pain relief Acute LVF with shortness of breath and crackles Sedation to enable intubation Sedation to maintain intubation Rapid sequence intubation

Known hypersensitivity
Late second stage labour

Elderly or frail patient Hypotension Respiratory depression Presenting with asthma Addition to opioids Patient on MAOI's Acute alcoholism Respiratory tract burns

CNS: Drowsiness Respiratory depression Euphoria Nausea or vomiting Addiction Pin point pupils CVS: Hypotension Bradycardia
