As series of attacks resulting in 120 deaths
During a period of civil unrest called the Utah war, Baker rancher party (emigrants) we’re travelling through Mormon territory,there were rumours of aggression from the party towards Mormons, plans were made to attack the wagon (by the Utah territorial militia)
The party was lacking supplies, so under a white flag went to ask for some from the Mormons, the militia said yes but made them surrender their weapons, they were assorted always and ambushed by other Mormons and native Americans, killing all but 17 children under the age of 7
