Q

How is the relationship between power, current, and voltage used to select appropriate fuses?

A

The power rating of an appliance is calculated using the formula P = I × V. By knowing the appliance’s operating voltage and maximum power, the appropriate fuse is selected to handle slightly above the calculated current without prematurely breaking the circuit.
