- Intention: the intended outcome or goal of the person choosing the object when making a moral decision
- Circumstances: the specific conditions or facts affecting a moral decision
- Circumstances can increase or decrease the goodness or evil of an action

- Direct abortion is a serious in and strongly forbidden by the law of God

- Indirect abortion has a double effect in saving the life of the mother and ending the life of the child

- A direct action, or a deliberate lack of action, that causes the death of a person who is handicapped, six, or dying

Capital Punishment/ Death Penalty
A
- Punishment should be proportionate to the offense
- Should be for the redemption of the person
- If proven guilty, Church does not exclude the death penalty
- States have the moral right to use death penalty to defend innocent people from criminals who are proven threats to society
