Screen for antibodies to virus capsid or other virus antigens
What test should be done if you suspect Lyme disease?
serology with ELIZA and reflex Western Blot test; WATCH FOR FALSE POSITIVES with mono, syphilis, SLE, RA (i.e. this is mostly a clinical diagnosis)
What is the treatment for Lyme disease?
For patient with symptoms, amoxicillin or
doxycycline for 10-21 days
