  • indirectly via fomites (contaminated surfaces) - shared towels and flannels

  • children (max incidence = aged 1-4)

  • pinkish or pearly white papules with a central umbilication
  • up to 5mm in diameter
  • appear in clusters - commonly on trunk and flexures

  • spontaneous resolution occurs within 18 months
  • avoid sharing towels, clothing and baths
  • do not scratch lesions
