~ことがある:
This is used when you need to say something which you or others have previously experienced or something you or others have done in the past.
Affirmative: INFORMAL PAST TENSE VERB + ことがあります
Negative: INFORMAL PAST TENSE VERB + ことがありません。
Example: 日本に いったことが ありますか。
NOUN + になる:
Used when you want to say “to become NOUN.”
Counting amounts over 10000:
1 - いち 10 - じゅう 100 - 百(ひゃく) 1,000 - 千(せん) 10,000 - 万(まん) 100,000 - 十万/10万(じゅうまん) 1,000,000 - 百万/100万(ひゃくまん) 10,000,000 - 千万/1000万(せんまん) 100,000,000 - 一億(いちおく) 1,000,000,000 - 十億(じゅうおく) 10,000,000,000 - 百億(ひゃくおく) 100,000,000,000 - 千億(せんおく)
Time Frame に Monetary Amount
These expressions are used to indicate the frequency at which money will be received. These are commonly used when discussing salaries.
Examples: 一じかんに__円
一日に__円
一ねんに__円
Example sentence: わたしの きゅうりょうは、一ねんに 四百五十万円です。 (My salary is 4,500,000 yen per year.)
~たら:
Translated as “if” or “when”; is used to make conditional sentences.
Verbs: Plain form past tense verb + ら
い adjectives: い adjective past tense form + ら
な adjectives: な adjective + informal past tense of です
(だった) + ら.
Nouns: Noun + informal past tense of です (だった) + ら
Example: もんだいがかんたんだったら、はやくできるとおもう。(If the problem is easy, I think I can do it quickly.)
~ないでください:
Means “please do not do~”. Attach this after the plain negative form of a verb.
Example: あぶないので、ほごメガネをとらないでください。(Please do not take off your safety glasses because it is dangerous.)
