piracy includes
-buying one license for software and installing it multiple devices
-installing and using software not free without paying for it
-sharing software when not permitted to do so
-making copies of, sharing or downloading copies of media such as books, music and movies you have not paid for
-selling illegal copies of media/software
-large scale copying & selling of illegal counterfeit copies of media or software by pirate businesses
consequences of pirating
-theft
-other people forced pay for crime as businesses estimate loss piracy and build into prices
-big business which illegal and does not contribute towards economy
-takes away motivation to create product
why do we use computers
-more accurate and reliable people
-fast
-work 24/7
-cost people less than people long run
-communication easier, faster, cheaper than ever before
-reduce need for other resources
-improve over-all effectiveness of business

gap between people that have access to computers and technology and the people that do not
