What is the main teaching about performing religious duties in public within charity?
The main teaching is to not perform religious duties in public to be seen by others. If done publicly for recognition, there will be no reward from the Father in heaven.
How should one give to a needy person?
One should give to a needy person in such a way that even their closest friend will not know about it. It should be a private matter, and the Father who sees what is done in private will reward them.
How should one pray according to the teaching?
One should not pray like the hypocrites who love to stand and pray in public places to be seen. Instead, one should go to their room, close the door, and pray to the Father in private. The Father who sees in private will reward them.
What should one avoid when praying?
One should avoid using a lot of meaningless words, as the pagans do, thinking their gods will hear them because of their long prayers. The Father already knows what is needed before it is asked.
How did Jesus teach his disciples to pray?

Our Father in heaven:
May your holy name be honored;
may your Kingdom come;
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,
Forgive us the wrongs we have done,
as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us.
Do not bring us to hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One
What is the condition for receiving forgiveness from the Father?
If one forgives others the wrongs they have done, the Father in heaven will also forgive them. If one does not forgive others, the Father will not forgive their wrongs.
How should one fast according to the teaching?
One should not put on a sad face as the hypocrites do to show they are fasting. Instead, they should wash their face and comb their hair so that only the Father, who is unseen, will know they are fasting.
