He advised against it because pulling up the weeds might also uproot some of the wheat.

He planned to let both grow together until the harvest. Then, the harvest workers would pull up the weeds first, tie them in bundles to be burned, and gather the wheat to put it in his barn.

The good seed represents the people who belong to the Kingdom of Heaven, while the weeds represent the people who belong to the Evil One.

The enemy is the Devil.

The harvest represents the end of the age, and the harvest workers are angels.
What will happen to the weeds at the end of the age?
The Son of Man will send out his angels to gather up all those who cause people to sin and all others who do evil things. They will be thrown into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
What will happen to God’s people at the end of the age?
God’s people will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom
