Module 4- Pump charts Flashcards
Table 3.5 - Relay pumping
When undertaking relay operations, 350 kPa is the initial starting pressure and then it should slowly be increased to 800kPa
Maintain min. 150kPa on the compound gauge
Do not exceed 1260kPa discharge on supply engine
when all nozzles are closed on the attack engine, operating relay engines over 1100kPa
will activate the internal pressure relief device on all engines upstream of the base engine
Table 3.9 - Water shuttle operations
Tender water tank size – 10% indicates that tenders generally only empty 90% of their load
Shuttle operations - Travel time
time it takes to travel to and from the fill site
Shuttle operations - Handling time
time in minutes required to maneuver into position at the fill site, make connections, and fill the tank; added to the time to maneuver into position at the dump site and dump tank
