What is elicitation?
A
This means that the teacher elicits (draws out) information from the learner rather than just giving it to them.
Elicitation is useful at any stage of a lesson, but is a particularly useful skill in the presentation stage.

What can you elicit from learners?
A
- A sentence / a phrase
- Words related to a particular theme or topic
- A grammar rule
- Some kind of explanation / word meaning
- Ideas / associations.
