Wireless:
* Uses radio wave transmissions to connect
* Needs a WIFI point that is built insode the router, devices must be wireless-enabled, WIFI will connect to the antennas (hotspot)

Wired connections

  • ADSL( Asymmetrical Digital Subscription Line) : A permanent connection using telephone lines with two separate channels: one for making regular phone calls and one for connecting to the internet
  • Fibre: Data is transmitted through glass fibre cables instead of electronically on copper cables. FTTH (when fibre cables are rolled out into homes and offcies)
