  • Note that this is also one of the essential aspects of minimising trauma along with being gentle and knowing the aim of the procedure

-Correct view that covers complete area and accurate location

Good balance of definition and contrast

After taking:
Evaluate radiograph for:
-Position and depth of object of interest (may require more than one film)
-Tooth crown and root shape (if related to tooth)
-Presence of any pathology
-Relationship of object to vital structures
