Who can impersonate other users?
Admin role or impersonator role
What can an impersonator do?
- Access exactly what the impersonated user can access (applications, modules, data)
- Test what different users can do in ServiceNow
What can’t admins do?
They cannot change the password of any user with an application admin role
When impersonating an application-specific admin role you cannot access…
…features granted by the application admin role
(security incidents, profile information or other scope protected features UNLESS you already have those roles + access to modules and application in the Filter navigator)
Why would a system administrator need an elevated role?
To accomplish higher security tasks
Elevated roles grant modification access–>allowing users to modify the ACL (Access Control List)
What does the ACL (Access Control List) do?
It restricts access to data by requiring users to pass a set of requirements before they can interact with the data
How is the ServiceNow Service Operations Workspace used?
It provides a unified workspace for ITSM workflows and it’s used to manage the lifecycle of task records such as incidents, requests and walk-ups in the ITSM workflows.
What is the Employee Center?
A unified portal that helps connect systems across the enterprise to create a centralised experience for employees
This application is available to all customers by default
What does the Employee Center Pro do and to whom is it available?
It extends the standard capabilities of the EC. It requiers additional licensing and is available as a standalone offering
Is included in the HRSD Professional or Enterprise offerings.
What does the breadcrumb do?
It summarises the applied filter(s)
